The children who are placed in this room are between 6 weeks and 2 year, within a seperate under 2 area. These children are cared for in two groups. Our Caterpillar group is for non mobile babies. They will be stimulated by a range of organised activites focusing on a babies natural instinct of using thier senses to explore. The babies day is based around their home routine creating a home from home experience within a comfortable enviroment.

This group is for mobile babies to 2 years. The enviroment is set up offering stimulating and age appropiate activites. It is set up to promote independance and free choice with all activites set at the child's height. All activities enable children to use their senses to succeed by gaining real hands on experiences.

Butterflies

Children aged 2-5 are cared for within an area of continuous provision. We believe that children should be encouraged to be independant thinkings, incharge of their own day and learning. This area is set up to allow children to have free access to a variety of key activites such as: sand, water, malleable, role play and construction. This access is not restricted by time limits or age range. The children now have free access to all activites and have more opportunities. They can now spend as much or as little time as they like at a activity.
