Special Needs Policy
The nursery is dedicated to providing the same high standard of care for all children, however, we ask parents/carers to consider the following points before choosing Pili Pala:
- Can the needs of your child be met within the existing daily routine of the nursery?
- Would the location and access pose a problem considering that we are located on the first floor and have no lift?
- Would your child require further assistance than what is already being offered?
Positive Discipline Policy and Behaviour Management Policy
These policies state that:
- Children should never be shouted at, humiliated or discriminated.
- Staff will always address children at their level, maintain eye contact and never point.
- Children will be explained the consequence of their actions.
Emphasis will always be placed on good behaviour and children will never be bombarded with long lists of do's and dont's.
Sickness Policy
If your child becomes unwell within nursery hours, the manager will contact you and discuss the next steps to take. A Sickness Observation Form will be be filled in every fifteen minutes to asses your child's condition.
If there is no improvement in your child's condition you will be asked to collect your child.
Equal Opportunities Policy
Pili Pala welcomes all children regardless of race, culture or ability. Children will have the opportunity to learn about different cultures throughout the year.
All religious and cultural needs are considered and accommodated wherever possible. Parents are encouraged to inform the nursery of any specific needs on admission.
