The safety of your children is our priority, we have in place a number of safety/security measures to reassure parents that their children are in safe hands.

We have installed an intercom and CCTV camera at the main entrance so we can monitor anyone entering or leaving the building. Our internal entrance doors remain looked throughout the day. Anyone wishing to enter must ring the doorbell and wait for a member of staff to let them in.

All confidential information files regarding children and staff are kept in a secure place within the nursery. Only authorized people will be allowed to view them.

Only those persons identified on the enrolment form will be able to collect your child from nursery. Should you wish someone else to collect your child, you must inform the manager as soon as possible. You will be asked to give a brief description of the person collecting your child and a password. The correct password must be given on collection of the child in order for them to be allowed to leave the nursery.

Our outdoor play area is also set to a high level of security with high brick walls to ensure no unauthorised people can enter the nursery or gardens. Access is through a security door which is locked at all times, ensuring your child’s safety.

Accidents.

We believe that children must be able to learn from their mistakes and believe that more emphasis should be placed on the children developing their independence and taking risks within a safe environment.

Every effort is made to ensure the nursery is a safe environment for the children to play and learn in. However, children will have accidents and will mark themselves. Even though staff will always be on hand to ensure children’s safety and enjoyment. We have a policy in place for dealing with all mishaps.
