Food Glorious Food

Food

We believe that children need to be healthy on the inside to develop on the outside.

We ensure our children are on their way to getting their “five a day” by doing the following:

  • By including as many vegetable in our meals as possible.
  • By offering fruit and vegetables at snack and meal times, throughout the day.
  • By making our food appealing and attractive to the children so meal times are fun!

We believe that meal times are a great learning opportunity and a chance to develop language and vocabulary. This can only be achieved if children feel at ease, which is why we make our meal times like a homely experience with tables cloths, place mats and music.

All meals are made from fresh ingredients and do not contain added salt or sugar! And our meals are cooked on site by our trained cooks.

We offer our children three meals, three snacks, drinks of water and milk throughout a full day!

Special Dietary Needs

We can accommodate any dietary requirements and can also use our experience to assist parents with planning meals for children with various food intolerances.

Additional Support

We have various information booklets, within both nurseries, that offer support and guidance to parents on subjects such as, weaning, “ditch the dummy and bin the bottle!”, food presentation ideas and much more!

We also invite parents to attend “stay and cook” sessions with their children. We also have recipe books so parents can make our yummy meals at home!

Our younger eaters

We have separate menus for our younger children (6months - 18 months) to ensure they are getting well balanced meals which are age /stage appropriate.

We also have our own “stages” of food blending to ensure that our food it to the consistency that our younger children need.
